Welcome! The overall goal of the ETSC is to increase school and student success through the effective use of technology.Our primary goals:- increased use of research-based instructional practice
- improved student academic achievement
- improved 21st century skills
- improved school climate
- increased economic efficiencies and access to new resources
Specifically, we assist schools and districts to improve the essential conditions, as defined in the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS), necessary to accomplish these goals.

 2007-2008 Peer Coaching I at ESD 105! | The goal of the Peer Coaching Initiative is to foster the systematic integration of technology into classrooms by training and supporting teachers to be effective coaches with their peers. ESD 105 will again be offering this program during the summer and school year 2008 - 2009. Coaches assist other teachers in identifying ways that technology can strengthen the individual classroom curriculum and enhance students? academic achievement. They also help their colleagues develop the necessary technology skills and instructional strategies needed to effectively integrate technology into instruction and improve student learning. A host of excellent and easy-to-use tools are provide for curriculum development, posting your class syllabus, newsletter, calendar, guestbook, posting student projects, creating online communities, WWW page creation/management, etc. Check it out and join today! |
 | ST.A.R.S. provides teachers with easy access to WASL, ITBS and school district assessment results for classrooms and individual students. Access for parents/guardians to individual student information can also be provided. Administrative/Curriculum staff can analyze assessment results in a wide variety of methods. |
 | The Survey Service provides districts, schools and ESD departments the ability to create and conduct surveys online. The results are easily disaggregated, graphed and stored for future analysis. Results are always displayed by totals/averages - never by individual response. |

 After School U! |
All E.T.S.C. classes are available to be delivered directly in school buildings as facilities permit. Our "After School U" program is available to all school districts. Typically these classes are delivered to the entire staff at little or no cost. |

New Online Learning Classes! Current Offerings! PBS TeacherLine, funded by a grant from the U. S. Department of Education, is committed to helping teachers acquire the skills they need to prepare students for a successful future. TeacherLine provides online professional development through facilitated courses that meet national and local standards, supportive and collaborative learning communities and exemplary Internet-based resources. Offerings are developed through collaborations with organizations such as the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), a National Advisory Board and PBS member stations.
Through weekly online discussions with other teachers, streaming video, slides, animations, simulations, and applets, these courses allow educators to experience interactive learning and discover new approaches and techniques. Module assignments encourage teachers to implement what they learn, as they learn it, merging theory with real-life scenarios. |
 | To Thinkfinity and beyond! Formally known as MarcoPolo, Thinkfinity is a free, non-commercial site of educational resources for teachers and students. The resources are created by the leading educational organizations in the USA. An outstanding resource that is regularly selected as the best site to download free lessons and resources! |
 | Formerly known as MarcoPolo in Washington, this is the headquarters for the effort to align all Thinkfinity lessons with Washington EALRs so that teachers can search by EALR/Component and find Thinkfinity content. You will also find information about Thinkfinity training efforts in Washington. |
 | PILOT provides teachers with a tool to self-identify skill levels in technology use and practice. Results can be anonymously compiled by building and district for use in School Improvement Planning. Appropriate professional development opportunities are displayed based on level. |
 | A New Journey A new opportunity for staff and students to purchase Microsoft products very inexpensively. The Microsoft Select Program, which has provided reduced cost fees for public and private schools for many years, has been expanded to allow K-12 educators and students to participate in similar pricing.
