This information, paired with OSPI's newly released "The Heart of Teaching and Learning" will provide the opportunity to learn, practice, and receive support for the most challenging situations.
Additional Information:

**Please note that the February 13th date (from 3-5:00) will cover "Second Steps" training. Location of training for this date TBD.
Second Steps: provides steps for improving academics and social skills of students K-8. Studies show that students with stronger social-emotional skills do better in school - and that's what the Second Step program is all about. It teaches empathy, emotion-management, and problem solving skills. In addition, K-5 lessons include Skills for Learning, and middle school lessons help students avoid peer pressure, substance abuse, bullying, and cyber bullying. this is a great next step for a building looking to enhance the general strategies learned during the Compassionate Schools training.
