Digital Bridges
| Digital Bridges, a project of the Northwest Educational Technology Consortium (NETC), is a set of resources to assist K-12 teachers and administrators in designing, implementing, and supporting instructional and other projects using the Internet and videoconferencing technologies. Projects for improving the instruction of students, and for improving the interaction between school personnel and others involved in the care and growth of children are presented as models of promising practice in both online education and interactive videoconferencing (IVC).

Educational Virtual Field Trips

| This database, sponsored by Polycom, Inc., contains programs from content providers such as zoos and museums that offer ISDN or IP based videoconferencing. The Berrien County ISD has researched this information. The search engine is a little "geeky" as visitors have to choose H.323, H.320, etc. but the database is fairly large. |

| Kids Teaching Kids | An upcoming project of the Educational Technology Support Center to create online/videoconferencing partnerships between classrooms. Students are then asked to teach the other class something about their locale/curriculum to the other class and visa versa. |

Megaconference Jr. 2007
| Megaconference Jr. is a project designed to give students in elementary and secondary schools around the world the opportunity to communicate, collaborate and contribute to each other’s learning in real time, using advanced multi-point video conferencing technology. Presenters will design and conduct videoconference-based presentation and activities focused on both academic and cultural issues. Participants will be able to address questions to presenters and to collaborate with geographically diverse peers in collaborative learning activities, thus building international cultural awareness. In other words, this is a virtual learning conference for K-12 students scheduled for February 22, 2007. |
| A videoconferencing system allows educators and governmental agencies to hold a statewide
meeting or training with minimal travel. All sites
are connected electronically and a real-time, face to face, interactive
meeting/training can be held. Each School District also has a Video Conferencing System and up to 12 sites can be interconnected into a conference. The Educational Technology Support Center provides training in educational and appropriate usage of Video Conferencing by educators.
