Imagine the Universe
This site is dedicated to a discussion about our Universe... what we know about it, how it is evolving, and the kinds of objects and phenomena it contains. Just as importantly, we also discuss how scientists know what they know, what mysteries remain, and how they might one day find the answers to these questions.

This site is intended primarily for ages 14 and up. If you are interested in a lower level, more basic discussion about astronomy and space exploration, try our StarChild site. It may have just what you are looking for!

Phylogeny -- the "family tree" of life.
Geologic Time -- the temporal existence of groups of organisms.
Evolutionary Thought -- evolutionary topics and scientists in their historical context.

Tesla Page
This page is part of WEIRD SCIENCE / AMATEUR SCIENCE. Coil project information.

The Belljar
Ever dreamed about building an x-ray tube? Or coating your own telescope mirror? Maybe even constructing an electron microscope? Perhaps you are a high school science teacher who would like to introduce simple yet interesting electron, ion and plasma physics experiments and demonstrations into your classroom. People the world over are involved in projects like these and the common thread is the use of vacuum technology. the Bell Jar is the resource that you need to join this network of hobbyists, students and educators.

The Exploratorium
Our focus is on investigating science behind the ordinary subjects and experiences of people's lives. The topics themselves provide "hooks" that get people excited about science. Then, when we investigate these topics, we can also look at the historical and social issues surrounding them, thus providing a context for scientific exploration.

The Particle Adventure
Offers a timeline and background on particle physics, student worksheets, and other resources to help students explore the world of fundamental particle and forces.
